Park Place
Leawood, Kansas
Park Place is a master planned mixed use development located in the heart of Leawood, Kansas. When ultimately completed, Park Place will provide over 1,200,000 square feet of office, retail, hotel and residential space on 30 acres. Since beginning on the project in 2002, PEI has been retained by Park Place to provide professional land surveying and civil engineering for all phases of this development. PEI collaborated with landscape architects, building architects, master planners and assisted the developers in successfully achieving entitlement approvals, which included multiple revisions. PEI’s services have included preparing preliminary plans and platting, development plans, final platting, civil-site construction plans, utility coordination, and municipal engineering for the public streets and sanitary sewers serving the development.
Some of the critical components of this project included coordination of primary and service utilities and locating them within the confines of a very dense development. In addition, careful attention was paid to design grading and stormwater management to accomplish adequate protection from flooding for a development with a floor area ratio (FAR) of 85 percent and the requirement to have long buildings at the same floor elevation for the streetscape design.

The Village at Mission Farms
Overland Park, Kansas
The newest luxury apartment and retail building at Mission Farms has opened. This 5 story, 400,000 sq. ft.+ project features 212 luxury 1, 2, and 3 bedroom apartments with internal parking garage, clubhouse, pool and courtyard and other amenities. The project also included 12,000 sq. ft. of first floor retail. PEI provided surveying and civil engineering design for the project, and completed an ALTA as-built survey of the project after completion.
