ADS Manufacturing Plant & Storage Facility
Harrisonville, MO
PEI provided land surveying and civil engineering design for a new 74,100 sq. ft. manufacturing plant and warehouse for ADS in Harrisonville, MO. The new facility will provide up to 5 production lines for new ADS pipe product lines, 1192 linear feet of rail spur line from the Missouri & Northern Arkansas Railway, 79 car parking lot for employees and 35 acre gravel storage yard. Work included site planning, surveying, civil engineering site design, storm water detention, permitting, utility coordination, and construction services.
Hostess Brands Warehouse Expansion
Emporia, Kansas
PEI provided land surveying and civil engineering design for a new 180 ft. x 203 ft., high rack storage 36,518 sq. ft. warehouse expansion to the existing Hostess plant in Emporia, KS. The new facility will provide an additional 13 loading docks and room for trailer storage for this growing facility. Work included site planning, surveying, civil engineering site design, storm water detention, utility coordination, and construction services. PEI worked directly for the design build contractor of the facility.
TVH Warehouse Expansion #1
Formerly Systems Materials Handline, PEI was retained by TVH to provide civil engineering and land surveying for a new 100,000 sq. ft. warehouse and dock addition to their existing building. PEI completed surveying, civil engineering site, grading and utility plans, and public storm sewer extensions to serve the new addition.
TVH Warehouse Expansion #2
A few years after the completion of the first expansion, PEI was again retained by TVH to provide land surveying and civil engineering design services for a second expansion. This addition was nearly 200,000 sq. ft. of new warehouse and dock door space for this growing company. PEI completed all surveying, civil engineering site, grading and utility plans and public roadway extension plans.
Garmin International Warehouse Improvements
PEI has completed numerous projects for Garmin International at their Olathe and Gardner facilities. This project included removing existing pavements and lowering the grades in front of the existing dock doors, and providing additional truck maneuvering room. Challenges included phasing the project so that access could be maintained at all times to the existing facilities east of the project.
Custom Storefronts (Phase 1 and 2)
Olathe, KS
PEI was retained to prepare the civil engineering plans and entitlements for a new 43,000 sq. ft. office, manufacturing and warehouse facility in the ERL Subdivision in west Olathe, KS. PEI had prevously prepared all the subdivision and infrastructure plans for ERL. PEI's design scope included site layout, grading, utilities, land disturbance, stormwater and permitting. PEI also prepared surveys as needed for closing and design base maps.
After the initial building was completed (shown left), PEI was retained to design a second building site next door. This project included an additional 20,000 sq. ft. building for this growing, expanding business. The second proejct will be completed in late 2015.
